Toddler fun at Magic Kingdom when you don’t feel like waiting in lines!

One of the best parts about going to a theme park is going on the amazing rides & meeting the awesome characters but sometimes the park is too busy or your little one just isn’t in the mood to wait in yet another line.  Good thing there’s tons of other fun things to do at Magic Kingdom park without having to wait in line!

Magic Kingdom is one of the best places to catch a toddler friendly show that is short, sweet & entertaining.

The main stage in front of the castle has a number of different shows throughout the day full of music, dance & sometimes even fireworks.  Make sure to check the program guide when you arrive to see what & when will be on that day.

Two fun (and lesser known) shows are the Country Bear Jamboree and Enchanted Tiki Room.  These are fantastic indoor shows (great for a hot day) that are about 20 minutes long and offer a nice place for your little one to sit and relax for a few minutes.

Feeling patriotic (and love the muppets!) then you’ll want to catch the new ‘History of America’ as told by the muppets in liberty square.  This show runs throughout the day but does require standing in the hot sun so make sure you pick a good time to watch.

It’s no secret that Magic Kingdom is a great place to watch a parade!  There are several parades throughout the day of varying length and production value so make sure to plan your time accordingly.  The Festival of Fantasy is a must see if you have little ones, they will not be disappointed (and neither will you!)

Scavenger Hunts

The Magic Kingdom offers two awesome scavenger hunts, ‘Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom’ and ‘A Pirates’ Adventure- treasure of the seven seas’. I LOVE both of these but the ‘Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom’ is my absolute fav.  My little guy loves collecting the cards and casting the spells all around the Magic Kingdom.  If you are into it, make sure you pick up your cards every time you enter the park!

Storybook Circus Splash Zone

There is nothing better on a hot day than the Storybook Circus Splash Zone.  It’s the perfect place to let your little one run around, cool down and have some freedom.  It’s a must in the hot Florida sun!

Boat & Train Rides

Sometimes you feel like doing something without doing anything at all & that’s where the boats and train rides come in.  The Liberty Belle is a nice relaxing  20 minute tour around the Lagoon.  My little guy loves watching the big water wheel as it powers the boat, it’s very relaxing.

Tom Sawyer Island is also a fantastic place to visit although it’s only accessible by raft.  Once you board you will travel across the Lagoon where you can get off and explore the island, there’s even a place to stop and have your lunch (if you bring it with you!)

Then of course, there’ the train! And there is nothing a toddler likes more than riding a train.  This is a fantastic way to travel around the park or go from land to land if little one’s legs are feeling tired.  We never miss a chance to ride the train, it’s a must for us!

Well, hopefully this gave you some fun ideas for ways to enjoy Magic Kingdom with your little one without ever waiting in line for a ride 🙂
