The Toronto Zoo is one of my favourite places to visit any time of the year. There is always so much to see and do but this year’s summer fun at the Toronto Zoo makes every day even more exciting! Wonder what you have to look forward to if you’re visiting this summer? I have all of the details.
When you arrive at the Zoo make your way towards the Discovery Zone (near the splash pad) and the site of the former Panda Experience. You will see lots of signs at the entrance letting you know what is happening inside.
Every Monday throughout the summer the Toronto Zoo has fun character meet & greets that your kiddos will LOVE! When we went my little guy had the chance to meet a huge Hatchimals Penguala as well as Ming Ming and there were NO LINES! Just make sure you arrive between 10-2 and know that the characters change every 30 minutes so prepare your little one to meet either of the characters that will be there that day. Full schedule here!
Every Tuesday during the summer the Toronto Zoo is playing some wild family favourites between 6-8PM. The movies are indoors so they aren’t weather dependant and admission is free! Because space is limited there is an option to purchase a fast pass which will guarantee you get a spot and allows you to enter 15 minutes before the regular lineup. Full schedule here!
Does your little one have a favourite stuffed animal that’s due for their annual check-up? If so, then make sure you come by the Toronto Zoo Wednesday’s between 10-11:30 for a visit to the toy animal hospital. This event takes place in the Health Centre Outdoor Courtyard and remember, it’s for stuffed animals only 😉
If you’re looking for a more mature activity for yourself (and maybe some friends) then you’ll want to check out paint nite. This is a 19+ activity and each week has a different theme. You can find all of the specifics and pricing details here.
If you’re looking for the perfect activity so start your day then you’ll want to stop by Friday morning for some yoga. There are classes at 9:30AM & 11:00AM so make sure you arrive 15 minutes early to get your spot and get ready. You can even rent yoga mats for $2 so if you are planning to explore the zoo you won’t have to carry your yoga mat with you all day! Full details here.
No matter what day you decide to go and enjoy the Summer Fun at the Toronto Zoo you will have a blast! Check out our full blog review for visiting the Toronto Zoo with kids to help plan your next adventure.
