Bath Bombs are so much fun to use but so expensive to buy! My son loves the fun of throwing in a bath bomb and seeing it fizz which is why I wanted to figure out how to make DIY bath bombs so we can always have a supply!
Well, we tried a few recipes and definitely found a winner. Here is our easy, kid safe recipe for making DIY bath bombs that everyone will love!
1/2 cup epsom salts
1 cup baking soda
4 tablespoons cream of tartar
2 tablespoons oil (olive or melted coconut oil)
5-10 teaspoons of water.
Sprinkles
A muffin tin or mold to put the mixture into
Mix together the dry ingredients then slowly add in the oil and a few drops of food coloring, mix again. Next start slowly adding water, just enough so that it starts to stick together but not too much or it will fizz. Put sprinkles in the bottom of the muffin tin then fill with mixture. Place in the freezer until solid and pop them out. Throw them into the bath and enjoy!
We were so happy with how well these Bath Bombs turned out and you can customize them in so many different ways. You can change the color, add in essential oils and also use different kids of sprinkles to give them a unique look. Also, in order to slow the fizzing try keeping them in the fridge because if they are cool they will fizz slower!
Here’s a picture of the finished product.
Enjoy making these at home with your kids and if you have any fun combos that you love be sure to leave a comment!
